Chileans, Spaniards and Americans come to the province to perform accessible and high-quality treatments. The Government of Mendoza, through ProMendoza, works side by side with Mendoza Health Care to promote a sector that does not stop growing.

Mendoza exports agriculture, industry, technology and also medicine. The province grows in the “Medical Tourism” sector thanks to Mendoza Health Care, an export consortium that has the support of the Government of Mendoza through ProMendoza, the ICBC Foundation and Exportar.

The mission of the association is to encourage and increase the arrival of patients to Mendoza, who visit our province to receive treatment from prestigious health professionals and provide treatments that in other countries are expensive or of lower quality.

“The consultations that occur frequently are in dentistry and cosmetic surgery,” says dentist Pablo Mussuto, one of the promoters of the consortium.

“Argentina is an excellent place for American and Spanish tourists to undergo dental treatments and cosmetic surgeries, especially since the price difference is very significant,” says Mussuto.

The patients, who also come from Chile, perform outpatient treatments and combine them with tourism. “It is a great opportunity for Mendoza tourism, because outpatients or patients with rapid recovery take the opportunity to engage in recreational tourism,” adds the dentist.

According to studies by Mendoza Health Care, patients undergo outpatient treatments and stay on average a week in local hotels, which is excellent news for local tourism.
